UPDATE: The details of Tuesday's multi-vehicle crash have been released by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.

According to the report, around 2:40 p.m., a semi-truck, driven by a 33-year-old Dowagiac man, was traveling west on US 20, west of C.R. 22.

At the same time, a Toyota Camry, driven by a 34-year-old Elkhart man, was also traveling west on US 20, west of C.R. 22, in the left lane.

A third vehicle, a Chevrolet Impala driven by a 29-year-old South Bend man, was traveling west on US 20 in the right lane behind the semi-truck.

When the Camry was in the left lane, near the Impala, the semi-truck began to slow down due to a vehicle ahead of him.

Authorities say either the Camry or Impala failed to maintain their lane, at which point a collision occurred.

The crash caused the Camry to roll over several times, colliding with the semi-truck, before coming to a stop on its roof.

The semi-truck driver and the driver of the Impala were uninjured.

The driver of the Camry suffered swelling on his head, minor bleeding, and finger pain. He was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.
