Motorcyclist killed in crash on Phoenix Road

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. -- South Haven Area Emergency Services responded to two motorcycle crashes in less than a half hour Saturday evening.

At 7:05 p.m., they responded to the northbound ramp of I-196 at M-140 where a motorcycle went off the roadway.

The driver was taken to a hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.

At 7:23 p.m., SHAES responded to a crash between a car and a motorcycle on Phoenix Road at Beechwood Lane.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
