Motorcyclist in serious condition after crash with truck on Beech Road Friday morning

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department reports officers were called to a crash involving a truck and motorcycle on Beech Road between Ireland Road and Wildwood Drive in Mishawaka around 7 a.m., Friday.

Police say the motorcyclist is in serious condition and the crash has been turned over to the FACT unit for investigation.

Police say Beech Road is currently closed between Ireland Road south to Wildwood Drive, and will be closed until around 10 or 11 a.m., Friday.

Drivers are asked to avoid Beech Road in their morning commute.
