Michiana avoided severe weather on Friday, but a few downpours and rumbles of thunder are expected early Saturday morning as a cold front slowly meanders through the area. Temperatures will fall into the 40s this morning before showers move out after lunch. Clouds will likely be stubborn in the afternoon, only allowing afternoon temperatures to squeak into the 50s Saturday. Some sunshine should be shining to start Easter Sunday before rain returns in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s for highs. Another round of rain is likely overnight Sunday into Dyngus Day Monday morning. Dyngus Day will also be windy, with gusts above 40 mph possible in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain near 70 for most of next week, with a few chances for additional April showers.
