The hot and humid stretch of weather continues today alongside another round of spotty shower and thunderstorm chances later today into tonight. Dewpoints hover around the upper 60s, bringing the heat index back to near 100F for some spots today. While chances for an isolated shower or storm are possible, most of our area will stay dry. Lows fall into the bottom of the 70s tonight, staying roughly 10F above the average low temperature at this point in the year. Rain chances diminish as the center of the high pressure expands west into our area, bringing overall higher temperatures into the picture Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid to upper 90s rather than lower. The heat advisory remains in effect through the end of the work week, but Saturday likely remains abnormally hot until a cold front on Sunday returns us closer to "normal" temperatures.
Today (Juneteenth): Isolated thunderstorms. High 93.
Tonight: Isolated thunderstorms. Low 72.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. High 94.
Friday: Partly cloudy. High 95.
