MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The political group Americans for Prosperity aimed to give Michiana residents a break at the gas pump on Monday.
They partnered with Hazen’s One Stop, a local gas station, to drop the price of gas to $2.38 per gallon, reflecting the price of gas on President Biden’s first day in office.
Over 150 drivers came out to get discounted gas as a part of the “True Cost of Washington” tour put on by the political group.
“We want to really highlight the bad policies that are coming out of Washington that are causing inflation across our economy,” said Josh Webb, the State Director for Americans for Prosperity in Indiana.
Americans for Prosperity will be traveling across the Hoosier state to put on more events like this.
Falling oil costs have dropped the national average by more than 30 cents per gallon since June.
