Parry received 30 percent of the vote.
Voters cast their ballots throughout the day at 14 different polling places throughout the city.
“No matter where you stand, make you voice heard,” voter Angie Nelson Deuitch said.
“We have the right and we need to express that right,” voter Mary Stark said.
Mayor Meer has been in the news recently as he faces charges of false informing, intimidation and official misconduct.
