Michigan City closes all parks and programs

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – The Michigan City Park Department has closed all city parks and playgrounds until further notice.

The closures are in compliance with Governor Holcomb’s executive order that was issued on Monday for residents to stay at home.

Michigan City park closures also include the Michigan City Golf Course, Washington Park Zoo, Michigan City Senior Center, Krueger Memorial Hall, Oasis Splash Park, Guy Foreman Amphitheater, Old Bandstand and all park programs and city picnic shelters.
