CHICAGO -- The final night of the Democratic National Convention wrapped up, crowning the Democratic Presidential nominee.
Michigan Delegates caught in the Harris honeymoon, now hope to bring the same excitement back from the DNC, to energize voters.
"For a long time, I was super jaded about politics and government, and this year I started knocking doors for the first time. I’m having a lot of fun, and I think we’re gonna get a lot of other people out there," stated Indiana Delegate from Granger Katie Takuchi.
Former Mayor Pete Buttigieg said that he is living proof of Democrats ability to expand civil rights.
Buttigieg states, "the existence of my family is just one example of something that was literally impossible as recently as 25 years ago an anxious teenager wondered if he would ever find belonging in this world."
While outside the United Center uncommitted Delegates describing the pomp and circumstance as a distraction from a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
“I think we have to have people challenge us on this to make us think come up with better resolutions than what we’ve come up with in the past. so I support their rights to protest," stated Indiana State Representative Vernon Smith.
