SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Incumbent candidate Mayor James Mueller (D) has won re-election as Mayor of South Bend.
One hundred percent of precincts reported Mueller received 73% of the votes, compared to Republican opponent Desmont Upchurch, who received 27% of votes.
“We know there’s much more work left to be done but we need to continue the growth and the pride and investment into our city,” he said.
In addition to prioritizing public safety and schools to kick off his second term, Mayor Mueller said he’s also focused on getting younger voters out to the polls for the 2024 general election.
