Marian High School head boys basketball coach suspended

ABC 57

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The IHSAA and the Marian High School athletics director have confirmed that MHS Head Boys Basketball Coach Robb Berger has been suspended from one game due to an IHSAA rule violation.

MHS Athletics Director Steve Ravotto stated, "Coach Berger is suspended for one game due to an IHSAA rule violation. Coach Sobieralski will be the interim coach for the regional game."

Jason Wille with the IHSAA stated, "I can confirm that he was suspended for the regional championship game on Saturday, but this was a self-reported suspension made by the school. It would be more appropriate for any comment to come from their administration."

The details of the exact violation have not been revealed by officials at this time.
