Man found guilty of murder of Edwardo Rivera

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Danate Lowe, 19, was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday for the murder of 16-year-old Edwardo Rivera in April 2021, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office.

The jury also found Lowe guilty of battery by means of a deadly weapon and a firearm sentencing enhancement.

The sentencing range for murder is 45 to 65 years.

The sentencing range for battery by means of a deadly weapon is one to six years.

The sentencing range for a firearm sentencing enhancement is five to 20 years.

Lowe will be sentenced on February 27.
