NILES, Mi -- A local truck driver is getting some major recognition.
Jeff Holloway drives for Shelton Farms in Niles and he was just named the 2020 Chick-fil-A ‘Driver of the Year.’
Reps from Chick-fil-A along with his co-workers surprised him with the news this week on Monday.
About 15-hundred drivers who deliver to the company were nominated but Holloway got the nod.
Chick-fil-a took service records, timely deliveries, and stories of excellent customer service into account when making their decision.
Holloway has been driving for 20 years, eight of them with Shelton’s.
“All of this hasn’t set in yet that’s the first and foremost this is something totally different which I’m loving it I will go back to that routine because it’s a muscle memory as far as work and as far as helping someone I’ve been doing that pretty much all my life,” said Holloway.
Holloway received a plaque with his name on it, a swag bag and a 500-dollar gift card from Chick-fil-A.
