ELKHART, Ind. -- After a tragic Monday night left two victims dead at an Elkhart Martin's Supermarket location, a local charity has announced it will be using its Crisis Fund to help those impacted by the shooting.

"We are heartbroken over the recent violence in our community and mourn for those affected. We appreciate the police and first responders. In response to the incident at Martin's Super Market, the Community Foundation of Elkhart County will use its Community Crisis Fund to assist those impacted," the Community Foundation of Elkhart County said on social media.

Donations can be made at online, and the organization says 100 percent of all contributions will be distributed.

"The foundation established this disaster relief fund in response to tornadoes in Nappanee in 2007 and that fund continues to aid others," the organization said.

"In the wake of Monday’s violence, the foundation is working with city officials and appropriate nonprofit agencies to help with the grief and healing of the community. The Community Foundation will distribute 100 percent of all contributions."
