SOUTH BEND — The Indiana State Department of Health has denied the license application for a group looking to open an abortion clinic on South Bend's west side.
The proposed address for the clinic would be 3511 Lincoln Way West.
According to ISDH, the application for Whole Woman's Health Alliance, based out of Texas, was denied because "in response to the Department's request to list all of the abortion and health care facilities currently operated by WWHA, its parent, affiliate, and subsidiary organizations, WWHA failed to disclose, concealed, or omitted information related to additional clinics."
The organization will have until January 23, 2018 to file an appeal.
Representatives from Whole Woman's Health Alliance say they will "absolutely appeal this decision" and that the group looks forward to moving forward without additional delays.
