A hearing scheduled for a Florida man accused of killing a Florida teenager will determine if the case can move forward under the state's Stand Your Ground law. Attorneys for George Zimmerman are expected to ask for immunity at the hearing.
Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder for the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Martin was unarmed and walking through a gated community when he was shot and killed.
Zimmerman was on the neighborhood watch and said he shot Martin in self defense.
He is not expected to be in court with his lawyers for this status hearing.
