The City of South Bend says due to safety concerns, street and sidewalk restrictions will be in place around the historic building.
The sidewalk on Lafayette Boulevard's west side will also close from north of Allegra Marketing Printing to Washington Street.
The sidewalk on the east side of the street will stay open to provide access to the courts and the County building.
The detour is Main Street via Washington Street or Jefferson Boulevard.
