SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- La Esperanza, known for its authentic Mexican food, will hold a ribbon-cutting for their new location at The Ivy at Berlin Place on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Described as one of the region's oldest Mexican restaurants, its previous location was on Ironwood near Notre Dame.
South Bend Mayor James Mueller, local leaders, and supporters will be in attendance to cut the ribbon.
The new location is said to have enough space for 160 people inside and 20 on the patio, along with seating in spaces to accommodate special events and meetings.
“We believe downtown South Bend is developing into the go to dinning spot and we want to be part of that development”, said Monica Guzman, owner of La Esperanza.
