ELKHART, Ind. -- Knights of Columbus in Elkhart hosted a Dyngus Day celebration.
Dyngus Day is a Polish holiday that falls on the Monday after Easter.
It is celebrated as a day that people get to shed the restrictions held by Lent.
People had the opportunity to enjoy a nice meal that included polish sausage,pierogies, noodles, cabbage and boiled eggs.
Additionally, people had the chance to meet with local politicians at Knights of Columbus.
