Two vehicle collision in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.-- On Saturday, at approximately 5:53 p.m., the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of C.R. 42. 

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, the driver of a Scat Track skid loader, a 54-year-old woman from Goshen, was traveling west on C.R. 42. She attempted to turn right into the driveway at 15507 C.R. 42 when her vehicle was struck from behind. She was transported to Goshen Hospital for evaluation after complaint of neck pain. 

The second vehicle, a 2015 Dodge Journey, was also traveling west on C.R. 42 near 15507 C.R. 42. The driver, a 33-year-old man, reported that he did not see the skid loader in the roadway and was unable to stop before colliding with it.

The crash report indicates that three minors were passengers in the Dodge Journey at the time of the crash. All passengers, along with the driver, reported experiencing pain, but none were taken to the hospital immediately.
