K-9 and drone deployed to chase man accused of domestic battery

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. - The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of domestic battery in the Mongo area of LaGrange County on Thursday around 10:37 a.m.

The victim fled from a residence located on North State Road 3 and ran to a local business where employees then made the call to authorities.

Officers with the Department of Natural Resources also responded to the scene, at which point authorities located the suspect in a vehicle.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as Brandon Scott Hoff, exited his vehicle, and ran from officers.

Hoff then entered a residence, exited, and resumed running.

Officers lost track of Hoff and a police K-9 and drone were deployed. Hoff was located shortly after.

Hoff is charged with Domestic Battery, a level five felony, Strangulation, and Resisting Law Enforcement resulting in Injury.
