BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — Division One men’s golf returned to Southwestern Michigan this weekend with the Jim Delapa Collegiate Invitational at Point O’Woods Country Club. Held annually in late September, the tournament featured 13 college teams competing over 36 holes across two days. The field included notable programs such as the University of Michigan, the University of Cincinnati, Princeton University, and Saint Mary’s College.
The event began at 9 a.m. and lasted until 7 p.m., showcasing the region’s rich golf tradition and the historic Point O’Woods course. Organizers state that the invitational aims to strengthen the local golf community and promote the area’s golfing reputation.
