Indiana State Police investigating inmate death at South Bend re-entry center

ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Indiana State Police are investigating an inmate death at the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) South Bend Community Re-Entry Center located on Old Cleveland Road.
The preliminary investigation shows that IDOC staff discovered 44-year-old Christopher Nahas of Indianapolis deceased in his bed on October 31 at approximately 11:38 a.m. IDOC staff attempted life-saving efforts until South Bend EMS arrived. EMS arrived and pronounced Nahas deceased at approximately 11:45 a.m.
