SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Friday, Mayor Mueller and parade organizers for the St. Patrick's Day Parade held a ceremony of renaming Jefferson Boulevard to kickoff St. Patrick's Day festivities.
The boulevard was renamed St. Patrick's Boulevard despite the heavy wind.
The parade will take place Saturday, March 14, beginning at 11 a.m. and runs from Jefferson Boulevard through the East Bank Village.
The parade features over 50 units, including walking groups, floats, Irish dancers, and bagpipes representing a wide range of community organizations and businesses.
