A familiar face is expected to take over the Niles Police and Fire Departments.
Interim Pubic and Safety Director Michael Dawson is seeking to return to his position as police captain, bringing back the former Public and Safety Director James Millin, who retired in June.
The Niles City Council will vote on Millin's reinstatement on Monday, September 25, to go into effect on October 1.
With over 30 years of experience in the role, Millin hopes to return for another two to three years.
