Indy mom charged for leaving kids in car while attending job fair

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- An Indianapolis mother is facing neglect charges.

She was arrested for leaving her kids inside of her car while job hunting.

On Tuesday, state police say 29-year-old Charise Jones went to a job fair at the state fairgrounds in Indy. 

While there, they say she left her two girls, ages 9 and 1, alone in her 1999 Buick with the windows down. Jones told police she was not sure how long she had been at the job fair. 

The two girls were not harmed.
