INDOT announces part of S.R. 8 to close in La Crosse

INDOT LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation reports it will close S.R. 8 between C.R. 1100 W and Genesse Street on or after Monday, August 19.
INDOT officials say S.R. 8 will be closed through early November for a bridge replacement project.
Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.
The official detour will follow S.R. 49, U.S. 30, and U.S. 421.
