INDIANA -- Some Indiana license plates will soon have a new design.

The BMV released artwork for the new "In God We Trust" plate, which features the American flag and larger letters.

All Indiana plates are being redesigned to make them easier to read. The BMV  says the new look will also save $1.5 million in production costs.

The state also unveiled a special "Medal of Honor" plate.

"This is very much an honor,” said Sgt. Sammy Davis. “I appreciate the state doing this for me. I will display it on my vehicle very proudly in honor of all those who served this country."

The new plates will be available next year.
