ELKHART, Ind. -- Starting on Monday, you will probably notice more police on the roads.
Local agencies are coming together to prevent deadly crashes.
Undercover officers will be tag-teaming with police in marked cars. State troopers will also be checking on drivers from the air.
This year, 13 people have been killed in Elkhart County alone. In a lot of the crashes, distracted driving is to blame.
Police said they are cracking down on distracted drivers, especially those who are texting and driving.
