BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. -- The Homemade & Boutique Fall Market, a pop-up event featuring about 100 small businesses, attracted a large crowd this weekend as vendors offered a diverse array of handmade goods. Organized by Justin Green of Simply Unique Market, the event showcased home and garden décor, wall art, boutique clothing, accessories, candles, gifts, holiday items, and food, along with crafts such as woodworking and metalworking.
This is the first year the market has been held at the Berrien fairgrounds, though it has an eight-year history in the Detroit area. Vendors traveled from Ohio, Indiana, and various parts of Michigan, some journeying four or five hours to participate. The market ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with another event scheduled for Nov. 15 in Waterford, Michigan. Organizers hope to return to the Berrien location in future years.
