Hit-and-run sends 10-year-old girl to hospital on Halloween in Mishawaka
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Police Department has confirmed reports that two children were hit by a white/gray pickup truck on the afternoon of Halloween. The crash sent a 10-year-old girl to the hospital with a broken arm.
The girl and her 13-year-old brother were reportedly riding on a E-bike at the time of the crash and witnesses say the truck did not stop after the collision.
"This happened near the intersection of Vistula and Bay View Drive, which is east of Bittersweet Road," authorities said. "The truck is either white or gray in color and has utility boxes in or on the bed. After the crash, the truck continued westbound on Vistula."
