High-speed chase ends with a crash in St. Joe County, Michigan
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. - Police arrested an Illinois man after they say he led a trooper on a late-night high-speed chase.
An Indiana State Police Trooper tried to stop the vehicle last night at about 11:30 p.m. on I-90 in LaGrange County.
The officer says the driver did not stop for his emergency lights and siren, instead speeding off.
The trooper says the driver reached speeds of 150mph during the chase before he exited the toll road and headed into Michigan.
The Indiana State Trooper then ended his pursuit and Michigan police were notified.
The driver eventually crashed his vehicle and suffered minor head injuries.
Police took the driver 19-year-old of Homer Glen to the hospital for treatment and then booked him on preliminary charges related to the chase.
There were no other injuries and no other vehicles involved.
