UPDATE: South Haven woman charged for threatening McDonald's customer with gun for line cutting
UPDATE: On Wednesday, 24-year-old South Haven resident Alexis White was arraigned on charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felonious Assault, and Violation of Weapon Free School Zone after she was identified as the woman who pulled a gun on another customer at a McDonald's Drive thru.
"White was arrested by South Haven Police Tuesday morning around 8am after threatening another person with a gun in the drive-thru-lane at McDonalds after a verbal altercation about 'line cutting.'" authorities said. "The victim did not know White prior to this incident."
Authorities say White had a young child in the vehicle with her at the time of the altercation and that South Haven Police transported the child back to the police department and turned him over into the custody of family.
Bond was set for White at $15,000 cash/surety.
ORIGINAL: VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The South Haven Police Department reports officers responded to 1025 LaGrange for the report of a woman pointing a gun at a motorist in the drive-thru at McDonald's on Tuesday morning.
Police say due to the proximity and time of the incident, South Haven High School was put on lockdown for about 10 minutes.
The report states the victim had a verbal altercation with another motorist in the drive-thru when another person pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at her.
Officers say they found the suspect waiting to pick up her food in the drive-thru.
During the investigation, police say they found a 9mm handgun under the driver's seat of the suspect's vehicle.
A 24-year-old South Haven woman was arrested for felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
The suspect was taken to the Van Buren County Jail pending arraignment.
