Even though the humidity was high across Michiana on Tuesday, skies stayed dry.
That was not the case Monday night, as torrential rains fell across portions of southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. Radar estimated one to three inches of rain fell in a 24-hour span.
If you can believe it, the humidity will soar even higher on Wednesday and Thursday, sending our chances of heavy rain up as well.
"Tropical" humidity levels, with dew points in the middle to upper 70s, are possible on Wednesday and Thursday. It will feel extremely sticky outside, and that high humidity could help thunderstorms with downpours form, too.
The Weather Prediction Center is highlighting our area for a chance of localized flash flooding on both Wednesday and Thursday. If the rain is widespread enough, we could also see river levels rise into this weekend as well.
