Heisman winner Eddie George stopped by Memorial Children's Hospital
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A Heisman winner took time out of his busy schedule to visit a local children's hospital.
Gridiron legend Eddie George visited patients at Memorial Children's Hospital in South Bend.
While George was there he went into the intensive care units and cancer care areas.
It's not just a treat for the kids but for the parents as well.
"To see a child going through that, or whatever they're going through... and to have someone of my caliber come in to say hello, to them, it brightens their spirits up as well and gives them a sense of hope," George said.
He went onto say that he loves inspiring the kids and easing their daily struggles.
George will be enshrined on Saturday at the College Football Hall of Fame.
