GOSHEN, Ind. – Goshen Community Schools will have solar panels installed at two schools with the hopes of saving money and teach students about green energy.
One acre of panels will be installed at Model and Prairie View Elementary schools by the end of the year, according to Deputy Superintendent Steve Hope.
“So we're putting in solar panel on the ground at model elementary school and prairie elementary school. These solar panels will be going on the ground next to model elementary and prairie view because we do have extra land there."
The project will also serve as an outdoor classroom for students to learn about being directly involved in helping save energy.
