GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Goshen Public Library hosted its first ever art showcase Friday night, featuring artwork by local children under the theme “Into the Woods.” Approximately 30 kids, ages 2 to 14, participated, in showcasing their paintings of woodland animals and scenes.
The Goshen Library staff aimed to make the event special for the young artists, providing them with a platform to display their work within a public setting. The intention of the showcase was to celebrate the children’s creativity and talent.
"It's been a chance for the kids to have their art on display in a public place, which doesn't always happen. So, we wanted to make the kids feel really special, like we rolled out the red carpet for them, and it's been really nice to see them look really proud and get to display their art for the public." said Grace Thomas.
Some young artists’ creations ranged from depictions of scenes from the Broadway musical “Into the Woods” while others had drawn leaves falling to the ground.
