UPDATE: Goshen man dead from injuries sustained in two-vehicle crash
UPDATE: On Aug. 22, authorities with the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office say that St. Joseph County Coroner confirmed that Anthony Collier died from injuries sustained in the crash.
ORIGINAL: GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of C.R. 40 and C.R. 17 on Aug. 12 at around 1:28 p.m.
The report states that a 2003 Ford Ranger, driven by 62-year-old Anthony Collier of Goshen, was traveling west on C.R. 40 when he failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection of C.R. 17.
The second vehicle, a 2018 Nissan Altima driven by 26-year-old Cassondra Stover of Goshen, was headed south on C.R. 17 when her Altima's front end struck the passenger side of the Ranger.
Collier received a life-threatening head injury and was airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
Stover was transported to Goshen General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No citations were made at the scene as the investigation is ongoing.
