Amidst several rounds of storms, some could be severe today
A stretch of hot and humid weather begins today and lasts through Wednesday. Expect highs in the mid 90s today, but with muggy dewpoints many cities will feel closer towards the upper 90s this afternoon and evening. Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with forecasted heat indices in the triple digits. Lows over the next several nights are well above normal sitting in the low 70s. While conditions will be sunny until Thursday, a slight daily chance for an afternoon pop-up shower or thunderstorm exists across the entire area. Temperatures go down and rain chances spring up later this week heading into the weekend.
