Four Winds Field hosts annual Party in the Park with 'I Love the 90's Tour'
SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- The annual Party in the Park kicked off the ‘I Love the 90’s Tour’ Thursday night with a couple of iconic artists taking the stage.
“Go ninja, go ninja, go! I was playing it this morning and I said I am so happy to actually see him for the first time because man this is a blessing," said concert attendee, Whitney Humphrey.
Long lines, merch tables, and lots of smiles were seen at Four Winds Field for the return of the annual event.
While there was some concerns over a potential for some inclement weather concert goers say they weren’t going to let a little rain ruin their fun.
“Nope cause we don’t have no power at home anyways," said Drew Smith.
“Nah if we get wet we get," said Takeysha Robinson.
For many this was their first live music event since the pandemic began, but for Robinson it was much more - a chance to get together with long term friends to remember their childhood.
“The 90’s was free spirited for me. I was in high school. Like middle school through high school. I graduated in 1997 so I’m all 90’s," said Robinson.
With performances from iconic artists from the 90’s many say it was a night that felt like the pandemic never even happened.
“It’s amazing. It’s nice to be able to see everybody around not worrying about the things that are actually going on, but just having a good time," said Smith.
The tour continues Friday night with its next stop in Toledo, Ohio.
