'Women of Greatness Brunch and Bubbly' brings the community together
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Indiana Corridor held their 'Women of Greatness Brunch and Bubbly' this afternoon, providing a chance to celebrate influential women in the community, all while raising awareness for the club's mission.
ABC57's Kickoff Host Allison Hayes was the emcee for the brunch, which saw members of the community pack the house to engage in discussions on how to get people more involved across Michiana, such as reading to children or participating in career days.
"This is the second year we've done this event. Sponsor are benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana corridor. We did the event last year. People had such a great time, so we thought, let's bring it back, and let's bring it back during women's history month. So we did this event in April last year, and now we're doing it in March to really celebrate influential women in our community, lift each other up and really talk about the impact for our club girls," stated Chief Development Officer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor Lindahl.
The Boys and Girls Club serves around 5,000 kids annually, providing safe spaces and supportive relationships.
