PENN TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- A former Penn Township trustee is heading to jail.
Jeff Dean pleaded guilty to official misconduct and conflict of interest charges earlier this year.
He faces 90 days in jail and 15 months probation. Prosecutors say Dean made personal purchases worth thousands of dollars on his township credit card.
Investigators also say he overpaid his administrative assistant who was also his girlfriend.
Dean will begin serving his sentence next month.
