Fire on Freemont Street Thursday morning under investigation

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Fire Department reports crews responded to a structure fire at 510 Freemont St. around 12:58 a.m. on Thursday.
Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy fire showing throughout the two-story wood frame structure.
Four fire engines were on scene and able to put out most of the fire.
Once the fire was mostly under control, crews used hand lines to put out hot spots.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
No one was living in the structure and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
