Fire in Elkhart Sunday, no injuries reported, cause under investigation

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Fire Department reports crews responded to a structure fire at 1714 S. 8th St. on Sunday around 2:16 a.m.
Upon arrival the crew found fire on the first floor and started an attack line.
More crew arrived on scene and searched the structure for occupants.
The report states the structure was vacant at the time.
Crews quickly brought the fire under control.
Once the investigation was complete, the structure was boarded up.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
