ELKHART, Ind. - Firefighters responded to a late afternoon fire off of County Road 9 in Elkhart on Wednesday.
Nine units responded to the call, which came in shortly before 5:00 p.m.
The extra emergency units responded to the call to offset any fears of dehydration at the sight.
Concord Fire Chief, Phil Sumpter, confirmed that the house was a total loss.
The fire was under control in about 20 minutes and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
