SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Game's game against Northern Illinois isn't just special for being the home opener for the 2024 football season, but a special day for a Fighting Irish fan to attend her first game in person at the age of 89.
Helen Weeks, just a few weeks shy of 90, grew up in South Bend and is also a Notre Dame Women's Basketball season ticket holder.
