CHICAGO -- Michiana was not the only area hit hard by the storms on Tuesday morning.
The storm that swept through the Michiana first moved through Illinois knocking out power to thousands of homes and business in Chicago.
The street department spent the day cleaning up fallen trees.
Some the trees even hit cars.
"it's material things, things can be replace easy. It's not that big of a deal.," Sheldon Ellis said. "I mean, I'm angry, but nothing I can do about that. Who am I going to get mad at, God?"
Chicago Police had to block several streets while some power lines were fixed.
