FAA investigating near miss involving Cessna, 4 fighter jets in area for Notre Dame flyover

The Federal Aviation Administration confirms it is looking into reports of a near miss at the South Bend International Airport related to the flyover at the Notre Dame game Saturday evening.

Four F-15 fighter jets conducted a flyover at Notre Dame Stadium just before the Notre Dame - Michigan game.

A spokesperson with the FAA confirmed a Cessna was about to land at South Bend at the same time as the flyover.

They are trying to determine how close the two came to each other and if any separation standards were violated.
