Westbound lane closure on LaSalle Avenue starts Wednesday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend announced the westbound lane of LaSalle Avenue from Niles Avenue to Sycamore Street will close for AEP to install new electrical cable, starting Wednesday morning.

Officials say the closure will occur daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 15, weather permitting.

The detour for westbound traffic will be south onto Niles Avenue, and west on Colfax Avenue to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

Traffic in the eastbound lane will not be impacted during this project.
