Elkhart police square off against Elkhart firefighters to see who can raise the most money

ELKHART, Ind. -- Friday the 13th might be synonymous with scary movies and bad fortunes, but, this season, the Elkhart Police Department and the Elkhart Fire Department are hoping this Friday is a day of well-natured competition and generous giving.

On Dec. 13, the EPD and the EFD will be ringing Salvation Army bells, side-by-side, infront of the Walmart at 175 C.R. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Who can raise the most money for the Salvation Army in support of local families? Come join us on Friday and show your support," organizers said.
